Job summary

Sioux Center Health seeks a Long-Term Care Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) to provide direct care for residents according to the Care Plan, helping them achieve and maintain their highest health and physical condition.

The role includes night shifts (4, 8, 9 hour shifts; 9:00 pm - 6:30 am every 3rd weekend) and requires interaction with residents, families, and staff in a supportive, faith-based environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of 75 hour CNA course preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Certified as a Nursing Assistant in the State of Iowa required.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with residents, families and coworkers to protect dignity and rights.
• Assesses daily needs, records vital signs, and assists with dressing, bathing, eating, and ambulation.
• Provides care per Care Plan and participates in the care planning process.
• Transports patients as needed and maintains a clean, safe environment.
• Performs safety and infection control procedures and follows policies.
• Performs restorative exercises and reports changes to nursing staff.
