Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for St. Francis Nursing Center in Colorado Springs. This role provides essential direct and indirect nursing care under RN supervision in a 24-hour skilled facility.

You will support nursing staff, document care, and participate in a patient-centered team focused on quality outcomes. The position emphasizes top-of-license practice, compassion, and collaboration.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/G.E.D. required.
• Graduate of a Nursing Assistant Program.
• State registered CNA license.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality patient care, including comfort and hygiene measures, preventive skin care, safety measures, transport, and nutritional and elimination needs.
• Promptly answers call lights and responds to patient needs. Reports patient status changes and needs to the Registered Nurse accurately and in a timely manner.
• Accurately documents vital signs, input/output, nutritional intake, personal hygiene, weights, and other patient care performed and reports findings promptly to the Registered Nurse.
• Maintains thorough and confidential maintenance of patient charts and records.
• Assists with safe and appropriate delegated patient care tasks which are directly supervised by the nurse.
• Provides person-centered care with sensitivity and respect for the human experience in a collaborative fashion with other team members.
• Communicates concerns regarding hazards or errors related to patients to the health care team.

Job Requirements

Required

• Graduate of a Nursing Assistant Program


• State registered CNA license

Preferred

• Six (6) months previous CNA or healthcare experience.
