Job summary

Kindred Hospital Las Vegas - Sahara is seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant to support patient care in a 52-bed long-term acute care setting. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor vital signs, and help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment under RN supervision.

Responsibilities include supporting admission/discharge procedures, handling patient belongings, responding to call lights, and assisting with routine treatments.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak fluent English.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer knowledge
• Able to organize tasks, develop action plans, set priorities and function under stressful situations

Responsibilities

• Assist professional nursing personnel in providing patient care in assigned area.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and provide personal care.
• Take and record temperature, pulse, respiration, weight, height, BP, and intake/output.
• Prepare patient room and bed for admission, transfers and discharge.
• Assist with patient admission, transfer and discharge procedures.
• Answer patient call lights, telephone and paging system; respond as appropriate.
• Under RN direction, perform routine treatment procedures.
• Assist with restraints under RN guidance.
• Assist RN/LPN with complex procedures.
• Serve and remove patient meal trays and assist with feeding.
