Qualifications

• Must hold a current RN or LPN license for at least 2 years.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a long-term care facility as an RN or LPN.
• Teaching experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain the Train the Educator Nurse Aide Instructor certificate.
• Current BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach the CNA training program and assess student skills.
• Evaluate and document students’ progress.
• Facilitate engaging class discussions and skills instruction.
• Maintain accurate student records and ensure compliance.

Skills

Current RN or LPN license

Experience in long-term care

Teaching experience

Train the Educator certification

Basic life support (BLS) certification

Education
