Job summary

LearnMore is seeking Faculty Instructors to train students to become competent CNAs through classroom, lab, and clinical instruction in California.

We value mentoring, diverse learners, and collaboration with the RN Program Director to ensure CDPH compliance and successful student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active California RN or LVN license with CDPH instructor qualifications.
• Minimum two years of nursing experience.
• Experience in teaching, mentoring, or guiding adult learners preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach theory, laboratory skills, and clinical instruction for CNAs.
• Prepare students for the California CNA certification examination.
• Mentor and encourage diverse learners.
• Evaluate student competency and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain attendance and required documentation.
• Foster a positive, professional learning environment.
• Collaborate with the RN Program Director and instructional team.
• Ensure compliance with California Department of Public Health requirements.

What You'll Do

As a Faculty Instructor, you'll prepare students to become competent, confident Certified Nurse Assistants (CNAs) by providing engaging classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction.

Responsibilities include:

• Teach theory, laboratory skills, and/or clinical instruction
• Prepare students for the California CNA certification examination
• Mentor and encourage transitional age youth and adult learners from diverse backgrounds
• Evaluate student competency and provide constructive feedback
• Maintain attendance and required documentation
• Foster a positive, professional learning environment
• Work collaboratively with the RN Program Director and instructional team
• Ensure compliance with California Department of Public Health (CDPH) requirements

Qualifications

RN Applicants

• Active California RN license
• Minimum two years of nursing experience
• Meets California CDPH instructor qualifications
• Passion for education and mentorship

LVN Applicants

• Active California LVN license
• Minimum two years of nursing experience
• Meets California CDPH instructor qualifications
• Experience supervising CNAs preferred

Teaching experience is welcome but not required.
