Job summary

Lone Star College invites applications for part-time Adjunct (CE) Nursing Faculty to teach Continuing Education courses in the Certified Nursing Aide Program. Instructors will develop syllabi, teach lecture, lab and clinical components, and ensure TDHHS compliance while preparing students for the state certification exam.

We offer day, evening, and weekend classes with a maximum of five courses per academic year; employment is on a semester-by-semester basis depending on demand.

Qualifications

Licensed RN or LVN in Texas with teaching or adult education experience preferred.
Experience teaching or supervising Nurse Aides is advantageous.
Ability to instruct across lecture, lab, and clinical settings in nursing aide topics.

Responsibilities

Teach Continuing Education courses in the Certified Nursing Aide Program.
Develop and follow a course syllabus per institutional guidelines.
Instruct in lecture, on-site lab, and off-site clinical facilities for state exam prep.
Maintain TDHHS and college program compliance and provide timely feedback.
Evaluate student progress and submit required college reports.
