Job summary

Hendricks Community Hospital invites compassionate individuals to join our team as Certified Nursing Assistants. We offer CNA classes at no cost to you and provide training to obtain certification. The role supports long-term care residents with personal care and daily living activities.

Evening shift: 2pm to 10:30pm with weekend/holiday rotations and shift differentials. Starting wage is $22.50/hour based on experience, with full benefits and opportunities for growth in a small-town Minnesota

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a state approved nursing assistant training program.
• Previous healthcare facility experience preferred but training available.
• Genuine interest in geriatrics.
• Provide quality resident care following each individual care plan.
• ADL support: hygiene, bathing, grooming, dressing, eating, mobility and psychosocial well-being.
• Communicate positively with residents and respond to behaviors appropriately.
• Work as part of a team to benefit residents and facility.
• Know safety and emergency procedures for LTC facility.
• Practice infection control procedures.
• Maintain emotional stability under stress.
• Be flexible to changing situations and emergencies.
• Maintain strict confidentiality.
• Job involves moderate to heavy physical work including standing, bending, lifting >25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal hygiene, bathing, grooming, dressing, eating and mobility.
• Follow each resident's care plan and document changes as required.
• Promote resident well-being and provide emotional support and comfort.
