Job summary

Home Helpers Home Care of Olney is expanding its caregiver team in Ashton, MD. We seek kind, compassionate CNAs/GNAs with a passion for in-home care, offering support from owners, ongoing training, and real opportunities for career growth in a supportive environment.

Looking to staff a caregiver for a shift every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Must be an animal lover, as the client has pets including three dogs, one horse, and one donkey.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Current CNA license is required.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance are required.
• Reliable transportation to and from clients’ homes.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to understand care plans and assessments.
• Must have medical health clearance including a negative TB test.

Responsibilities

• Provide Personal Care such as bathing, dressing, and transfers.
• Prepare meals and assist with nutrition as directed.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks as needed.
• Monitor and report physical and behavioral changes to supervisors.
• Assist with medication reminders and adherence.
• Assist with ambulation and monitor BP and glucose levels.
