Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for ICU care. This part-time night shift role supports RNs, assists with daily living activities, and ensures a high standard of patient care and service.

Primary duties include bedside patient care, clerical and transport tasks, with opportunities for career development within Universal Health Services and its subsidiaries. Previous CNA experience preferred; BLS required at start date.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• CNA Certification is required.
• Current BLS certification at start date.
• Experience as Unit Secretary/Nursing Assistant, Medic or EMT/Paramedic preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assists in patient care and daily living activities under RN supervision.
• Provides clerical, stocking, courier and transport support.
• Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Overview

Assumes responsibility for facilitating and enhancing the delivery of patient care and the patient experience under the direction of the RN. Duties include, patient care, activities of daily living, and general support duties as assigned to include but not limited to: clerical, stocking, courier, and transport. Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned.

General Responsibilities

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Previous experience as Unit Secretary/ Nursing Assistant, Medic or EMT/Paramedic, preferred.
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS at start date.
• CNA Certification required.
• Demonstrated track record for excellent communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required.
• For Emergency Room, CPI required within 6 months.
