Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the ICU. This part-time night-shift role supports patient care under the direction of the registered nurse, handling daily living activities, basic tasks and incidental duties to ensure a positive patient experience.

The ideal candidate holds a CNA certification, BLS, and strong communication skills. Hospital environment experience is preferred; CPI training within 6 months may be required for ER-related duties.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Previous experience as Unit Secretary/Nursing Assistant, Medic or EMT/Paramedic preferred.
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS at start date.
• CNA Certification required.
• Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer and customer service skills.
• For Emergency Room, CPI required within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Provides everyday patient care.
• Assists with activities of daily living and general support duties.
• Performs clerical, stocking, courier and transport tasks as assigned.
• Supports RN and enhances patient care and experience.
