Qualifications

• Current registration as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the State of Maine.
• BLS certification is to be obtained prior to caring for patients and kept current.
• 1 year experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicates and interacts with patients and families, physicians, peers and other health care members to maximize successful outcomes.
• Precepts team members to job function.
• Orients patient to hospital environment and routine.
• Documents all aspects of patient care in a timely manner.
• Participates in unit quality improvement initiatives.
• Provides care per the patient’s plan of care.
• Label and deliver specimens per policy.
• Maintain a safe environment and follow Northern Light Health policies.
• May perform other duties upon request.
