Hugh Chatham Health in Elkin, NC is hiring a Nursing Assistant I (NA I) for the Adult Acute Care unit. This 61-bed medical-surgical environment focuses on orthopedic and stroke patients, offering exposure to a range of conditions and postoperative care.

The NA I will support RNs with direct patient care, follow established procedures, and help maintain a safe, respectful setting. Strong communication and basic computer skills are favored to ensure timely patient information exchange.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Completion of an applicable State Approved Nurse Aide I course required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required.

• Provides direct patient care under the direction of the RN and follows the nursing process.
• Performs procedures correctly under RN supervision and communicates patient information accurately.
