Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including feeding, monitoring vitals, specimen collection and patient transportation.
• Explain procedures to patients and families; assist with equipment and supplies.
• Clean equipment, prepare meal trays and restore rooms after patient discharge.
• Provide care to hospice patients in home or facility settings; report changes to RN Case Manager.
• Support daily operations as needed by nursing staff.

Scope of Responsibility

Certified Nurse Aides providepatient care activities including: feeding, monitoring of vital signs, specimen collectionand patient transportation. CNA's utilizeand chargefor equipment and supplies andacquirenecessary equipment for procedures and explains procedure to patients and families. Other duties include cleaningequipment,meal traysand restoringrooms after patient discharge. Provides direct patient care to hospice patients in their home or facility including: bathing, dressing, changing linens. Reports any patient changes or needs to RN Case Manager.
