Job summary

Compassus is seeking a Hospice Aide to join our team in Kansas on a part-time basis (24 hours per week). The role emphasizes comfort care for patients at home, collaboration with a hospice team to address physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, and supporting patients to approach their final days with dignity.

Requirements include CPR certification and preference for a Certified Nursing Assistant. In KS, licensure options include being a licensed aide or completing an approved nurse aide

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
• KS licensure: either already licensed aide or completed state-approved nurse aide training with 24 months continuous employment.
• Current CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comfort care to patients enabling them to remain at home with their loved ones.
• Work as a member of the hospice team to meet each patient's physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
• Help patients approach their final days with joy, peace, and dignity.
• Enhance the quality of someone's life every day.

Hospice Aide Requirements

• Certified Nursing Assistant highly preferred.
