As a Hospice Aide/CNA, your responsibilities include:

• Reporting to the Administrator, Executive Director, or Patient Care Manager and working under the supervision of the Registered Nurse or Clinical Supervisor
• Helping patients maintain good personal hygiene
• Assisting in maintaining a safe, healthy environment
• Preparing and serving light meals and assisting with feeding
• Assisting with ambulation and safe use of mobility aids
• Performing light housekeeping tasks
• Supporting prescribed treatments as ordered and allowed by regulations
• Promoting mental alertness through engaging activities
• Providing emotional and psychological support
• Reporting changes in patient condition or home situation
• Demonstrating basic care techniques to primary caregivers
• Practicing infection control and standard precautions
• Documenting visits accurately and timely
• Attending staff meetings and participating in quality improvement activities

About You

Requirements for Hospice Aide/CNA:

• Compassionate, kind, and empathetic nature
• Comfortable providing care in a patient's home
• Flexibility and composure in crises
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license
• Six months of patient care experience preferred
• Additional experience in hospital or emergency settings advantageous
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
• Current CPR certification
