$5,000 sign-on bonus - Waterbury regions

Must be a Certified Nurse Assistant in the state of Connecticut

Position Purpose:

Our home health aides provide paraprofessional services to our patients in their homes, following physician orders and in compliance with the state's Nurse Practice Act, any applicable licensure/certification requirements and our policies and procedures.

What You Will Do:

  1. Follows care plan developed by RN.
  2. Reports client changes in condition to RN, as described on care plan.
  3. Assists clients with personal care activities including bathing, mouth care, denture care, skin care, grooming, bathroom privileges, transferring, ambulation, and dressing and undressing activities.
  4. Assists clients with household tasks including planning and preparing meals, feeding, light housekeeping, changing linens, making bed, and laundering clothes and bedding.
  5. Measures and records client’s oral, rectal and axillary temperatures, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure as ordered.
  6. Performs range of motion and other simple procedures as an extension of therapy services as assigned.
  7. Assists clients in self-administration of medication, as assigned by an RN and documented in the clinical record. The aide shall not administer medication of any kind.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. High School diploma or GED required.
  2. Active CT CNA certification in good standing.
  3. Completion of federally compliant training program as required by law/regulation and successful completion of a competency evaluation.
  4. Documentation of one year’s employment as an aide in an institution, home care, or hospice setting.
  5. Must have a current Driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from work site.
