Job summary

Altra Home Health in Indiana is seeking caring and dependable CNAs and HHAs to provide essential personal care to patients in their own homes. You will assist with daily activities, monitor health, document care, and report changes to supervisors, while following infection control protocols and privacy policies.

A valid driver's license, CPR certification, and at least 1 year of experience are preferred; flexible schedules and competitive pay are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance required.
• Preferred: at least 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Ability to read, follow written instructions, and accurately document care provided.
• Current CPR certification.
• Willingness to comply with all State and Federal training requirements.
• CNAs may be hired as Home Health Aides and will perform the same essential job functions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient laundry when needed.
• Provide friendly medication reminders.
• Help ensure patient safety at all times.
• Promptly report significant changes in a patient's condition to their supervisor.
• Prepare light meals and assist with feeding when required.
• Monitor and record patient temperature.
• Support patients with ambulation.
• Guide patients through range of motion exercises and other simple physical activities.
• Keep thorough documentation and follow all care protocols.
• Uphold privacy policies and infection control guidelines.
• Offer hands-on bathing assistance.
• Handle light housekeeping tasks.
• Provide meaningful companionship, including letter-writing and reading.
