Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a Part-time Home Health Aide in North Carolina. The role requires a CNA license, and provides flexible days with the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients’ home-based care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current state CNA certification.
• CNA experience within the last two years; if more than two years, you must complete another training.
• Must be able to pass the competency program.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Obtain temperature, pulse, blood pressure and respiration.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment.
• Assist patient with getting in/out of bed, bathing, hygiene, and toileting.
• Prepare meals and assist with eating.
• Perform light homemaking and other environmental services.
• Observe, report, and document any changes in patient status.
• Understand basic body functioning and report changes as indicated.
• Recognize emergencies and implement appropriate procedures per policy.
• Follow infection prevention, waste handling and safety measures.
• Follow written instructions for personal care per plan of care.
• Assist with prescribed exercises as instructed by nurse or therapist.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current state certification (or registration) as a nurse assistant as per state certification/registration requirements.
• CNA experience within the last two years. If it has been more than two years, you must complete another training and competency program before providing services.
• Must be able to successfully pass the competency program of the care center.
• Current CPR certification.
