Job summary

AdventHealth in Zephyrhills, Florida is seeking a patient care technician/assistive role to provide compassionate care under the supervision of a registered nurse. The position emphasizes effective communication with patients and families, teamwork, and adherence to safety protocols in a full-time Day shift.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, BLS certification, and relevant CNA/CPCT/A/EMT credentials, with 1+ PCT experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv is required.
• 1+ applicable PCT experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification required.
• CNA OR CPCT/A OR EMT certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient care tasks under supervision, following policy and procedures.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team; maintains a clean and safe patient environment.
• Assists in documenting procedures and obtaining nursing history as directed by a registered nurse.
• Performs duties in support of the care team and responds to routine clinical needs as assigned.
