Job summary

VNA of NWI Hospice is seeking compassionate CNAs and HHAs to join our intimate 6-bed inpatient hospice center. This role focuses on providing personalized, hands-on care and emotional support to patients and families at a challenging time.

Part-time evenings, 3:00pm–11:30pm, with rotating Monday, Tuesday and every other Saturday and Sunday shifts. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote comfort, dignity and excellent end-of-life care.

Qualifications

• Current Indiana CNA or HHA certification.
• Hospice/long-term care or related healthcare experience preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Demonstrates empathy, professionalism and strong communication.
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility).
• Assist with activities of daily living while promoting comfort and dignity.
• Monitor and report changes to the nursing team.
• Maintain a clean, safe, patient environment.
• Provide emotional support to patients and families.
• Collaborate with nurses, social workers, chaplains and others.
• Document care according to agency policies and regulations.

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Home Health Aides (HHAs) to join our team at our intimate 6-bed inpatient hospice center. Responsibilities

• Provide personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility assistance.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living while promoting comfort and dignity.
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable patient environment.
• Provide compassionate emotional support to patients and their loved ones.
• Collaborate with nurses, social workers, chaplains, and other interdisciplinary team members.
• Document care provided according to agency policies and regulations.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Current Indiana CNA certification or HHA certification.
• Previous hospice, long-term care, hospital, or home health experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification preferred.
• Ability to demonstrate empathy, professionalism, and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
