Responsibilities
- Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries, or accidents, attending to needs such as showering, bathing, dressing, and eating.
- Remind clients to take prescribed medications.
- Assist with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.).
- Assist with personal care and hygiene.
- Plan and prepare meals.
- Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to do so successfully.
- Perform light housekeeping duties.
- Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
- Offer activities essential for daily living and assist with meals and other tasks as necessary.
Qualifications
- Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to learn new skills.
- Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation daily.
- Compassionate and supportive demeanor.
- Available to work different shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care.
- Willing to enforce health and safety standards.
- Supportive and compassionate attitude.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; experience as a Caregiver preferred.
- Supportive of high-quality care.
- Hoyer Lift experience (specific to client).
- CNA or HHA certification preferred.
