Responsibilities
  • Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries, or accidents, attending to needs such as showering, bathing, dressing, and eating.
  • Remind clients to take prescribed medications.
  • Assist with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.).
  • Assist with personal care and hygiene.
  • Plan and prepare meals.
  • Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to do so successfully.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties.
  • Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
  • Offer activities essential for daily living and assist with meals and other tasks as necessary.
Qualifications
  • Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to learn new skills.
  • Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations.
  • Reliable and punctual attendance.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation daily.
  • Compassionate and supportive demeanor.
  • Available to work different shifts, including nights and weekends.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care.
  • Willing to enforce health and safety standards.
  • Supportive and compassionate attitude.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; experience as a Caregiver preferred.
  • Supportive of high-quality care.
  • Hoyer Lift experience (specific to client).
  • CNA or HHA certification preferred.
