Lifeworks, Inc. is hiring a full-time CNA to work in a residential program supporting adults with developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will provide hands-on personal care and emotional support in a trauma-informed environment.

This position requires compliance with same-gender staffing guidelines and a strong belief in enhancing the lives of those served. Lifeworks offers an excellent compensation package including health insurance, paid time off, and a retention bonus after one year.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass fingerprint background check, CORI, DPPC and driving checks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

Lifeworks is hiring a full time CNA to work with Individuals with ID/DD in one of our Residential Programs. We are a nonprofit human service agency that provides adults with developmental disabilities the opportunity to live engaged and meaningful lives. We're searching for an enthusiastic individual who will bring their personality, an independent work ethic, and a strong belief in enhancing the lives of those we serve . *Candidates must have related or direct experience working with the community we serve.

This role supports men in a residential setting and involves providing hands‑on personal care, emotional support, and daily living assistance in a trauma‑informed, dignity‑centered environment. This position is assigned to a single‑gender residential program and requires compliance with same‑gender staffing guidelines.

• Provides preventative health maintenance (blood pressure check, monitoring weight, health and education) and treat any daily health care problems (including first aid and emergency problems).
• Provide educational training, counseling and physical assistance when necessary to achieve ISP goals, and provides regular in‑service training.
• Act as an agency wide resource person to program staff, individuals, families, and care providers regarding health issues and concerns.
• Maintain individual records related to medical and health progress, difficulties, and changes.
• Audits medications agency wide.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques and MAP regulations.
• Observes patient, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies Director or Physician of patient’s condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents.
• Takes temperature, pulse, blood pressure and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess condition of patient.
• Attends meetings, in‑services, significant medical appointments, and case conferences as necessary.
• Other duties and/or assignments to work/program locations based on the needs of the company.

Requirements:

• Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two‑year college or technical school.
• CPR, First Aid certification, Medical Administration
• Must be able to pass Fingerprint background check, CORI, DPPC and Driving background checks
• Experience working with Individuals with ID/DD
• Valid Driver's License in the state residing
• MAP certified
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
