Job summary

A local home health agency is looking for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) and Home Health Aides (HHA) to provide compassionate care to seniors in the Indian River area. This role involves assisting clients with daily living activities, offering companionship, and ensuring a safe environment. Ideal candidates should have an active CNA or HHA certification and a reliable means of transportation. This position allows for flexible hours and offers competitive pay ranging from $16.00 to $20.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Active Florida CNA license or Home Health Aide certification (75 hours minimum).
• Valid CPR certification.
• Must have a Level II background screening (AHCA-compliant).
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
• Prior experience with seniors preferred.

Our non-medical home care agency focuses on providing personalized care, companionship, and assistance with daily tasks to help seniors remain independent in their own homes.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Supporting clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Preparing light meals and assisting with feeding if necessary.
• Providing companionship and emotional support.
• Performing light housekeeping and laundry duties.
• Reminding clients to take medications (no medication administration).
• Assisting with mobility, transfers, and walking.
• Observing and reporting any changes in the client’s condition or behavior.
• Ensuring a safe and clean home environment.

Qualifications

• Active Florida CNA license or Home Health Aide certification (75 Hours minimum).
• Valid CPR certification.
• Must have a Level II background screening (AHCA-compliant) https://info.flclearinghouse.com.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.
• Must be punctual, trustworthy, and have a genuine desire to help others.
• Prior experience with seniors or individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Coverage Area

This position requires travel to clients located within Indian River County. Preference given to caregivers who live in or near:

• Vero Beach.
• Sebastian.
• Fellsmere.
• North Hutchinson Island.

Shifts Available

• Weekdays.
• Weekends.
• Daytime and evening.

Shifts vary between 2-4 hours in length and up to 5-6 hours. NO OVERNIGHTS. Apply Now
