Job summary

ClearSky Health is seeking a Certified Nurses Aide (CNA) for full-time night shift (7pm–7am) to provide direct bedside care under RN supervision. The role emphasizes safety, patient comfort, and adherence to infection prevention standards in an inpatient hospital setting.

Requires 2 years of inpatient hospital experience; rehabilitation experience preferred. A $2,500 signing bonus is offered for night shift.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct bedside care including bathing, toileting, feeding, grooming.
• Record vital signs, intake/output, and patient data accurately.
• Assist with transfers using proper body mechanics and safe patient handling.
• Report changes in patient condition to nursing staff.
• Maintain clean, safe patient rooms and beds; ensure organized work area.

Certified Nurses Aide - Full Time NIGHT Shift - 7pm to 7am.

Offering a signing bonus of $2500 for night shift only.

2 years of experience in inpatient hospital setting required, inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred.

The Certified Nurses Aide (CNA), working under the direct supervision of Registered Nurse, is primarily responsible for providing direct, non-invasive bedside care to patients. This position must integrate company values into daily practice.

Essential Functions

• Prioritizes and delivers basic patient care, including bathing, toileting, feeding, grooming, etc.
• Performs and documents vital signs, measures and records intake and output, weights, specimen collections, etc.
• Transfers patients utilizing proper body mechanics and safe patient handling techniques.
• Reports any changes observed in condition or behavior of patient to appropriate nursing personnel.
• Assists in preparing unit, patient rooms, and patient beds for receiving patient admissions.
• Maintains bed and room in a clean, neat, safe, and comfortable manner.
• Removes supplies and equipment not in use; placing furnishings and equipment out of the path in order to provide a safe, neat, and organized area.
• Adheres to patient rounding expectations and standards.
• Assists in maintaining a physical, social, and psychological environment conducive to aiding in patient comfort and healing.
• Promptly and appropriately responds to patient and family calls and requests.
• Appropriately designates applicable charges to individual patients using hospital’s established system.
• May be required to work during inclement weather and other staffing emergencies.
• Provides an environment conducive to safety for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Assesses the risks for safety and implements appropriate precautions.
• Complies with appropriate and approved safety and Infection Prevention standards.
• Maintains regular attendance in keeping with assigned work schedule.
• Completes required trainings, as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned to support overall effectiveness of the organization.

Minimum Job Requirements

• Minimum Education & Experience : High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• 2 years of experience in inpatient hospital setting required, inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred.

Required Licenses, Certifications, and/or Documentation

• Current state CNA certification required.
• BLS certification required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of current clinical operations and procedures.
• Demonstrates knowledge of appropriate Infection Prevention and proper body mechanics.
• Demonstrates general computer skills including data entry, word processing, email, and records management.

Physical Requirements Over the Course of a Shift

• A significant amount of standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling, often for prolonged periods.
• Both gross and precise motor functions.
• Lifting/exerting of up to 50 lbs.
• Possible exposure to bodily fluids.
• Visual acuity required for patient assessment and documentation of care.
• Acute hearing required for accurate patient assessment.
• Sufficient manual dexterity to operate equipment and computer keyboard.
• Close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
