Job summary

ClearSky Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide direct bedside care under RN supervision in a Florida facility.

You will perform basic patient care, monitor vital signs, assist with activities of daily living, and help maintain a safe, clean environment. Training and respect for patient comfort are emphasized.

The role requires teamwork, reliability, and adherence to infection prevention standards to support patient healing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• 2 years of inpatient hospital experience required; inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred.
• Current state CNA certification required.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

Certified Nurses Aide (CNA)

The Certified Nurses Aide (CNA), working under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, is primarily responsible for providing direct, non-invasive bedside care to patients. This position must integrate company values into daily practice.

Essential Functions

• Prioritizes and delivers basic patient care, including bathing, toileting, feeding, grooming, etc.
• Performs and documents vital signs, measures and records intake and output, weights, specimen collections, etc.
• Transfers patients utilizing proper body mechanics and safe patient handling techniques.
• Reports any changes observed in condition or behavior of patient to appropriate nursing personnel.
• Assists in preparing unit, patient rooms, and patient beds for receiving patient admissions.
• Maintains bed and room in a clean, neat, safe, and comfortable manner.
• Removes supplies and equipment not in use; placing furnishings and equipment out of the path in order to provide a safe, neat, and organized area.
• Adheres to patient rounding expectations and standards.
• Assists in maintaining a physical, social, and psychological environment conducive to aiding in patient comfort and healing.
• Promptly and appropriately responds to patient and family calls and requests.
• Appropriately designates applicable charges to individual patients using hospital’s established system.
• May be required to work during inclement weather and other staffing emergencies.
• Provides an environment conducive to safety for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Assesses the risks for safety and implements appropriate precautions.
• Complies with appropriate and approved safety and Infection Prevention standards.
• Maintains regular attendance in keeping with assigned work schedule.
• Performs other duties as assigned to support overall effectiveness of the organization.

Minimum Job Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• 2 years of experience in inpatient hospital setting required, inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred.
• Current state CNA certification required.
• CPR certification required.

Physical Requirements Over the Course of a Shift

• A significant amount of standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling, often for prolonged periods.
• Both gross and precise motor functions.
• Lifting/exerting of up to 50 lbs.
• Possible exposure to bodily fluids.
• Visual acuity required for patient assessment and documentation of care.
• Acute hearing required for accurate patient assessment.
• Sufficient manual dexterity to operate equipment and computer keyboard.
• Close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
