Job summary

Christwood in Covington, LA is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join the Health Center team. You will assist with activities of daily living, medication management, and monitor patient status to support high-quality care.

The ideal candidate has a valid CNA certification and at least 5 years of experience, with strong communication and interpersonal abilities to educate patients and collaborate with staff.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant certification required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
• Compassionate and patient demeanor.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow care plans and adhere to medication schedules.
• Ability to lift and assist patients with mobility, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene assistance
• Assist with medication management and administration, as directed by a healthcare professional
• Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the appropriate staff member
• Communicate with patients and families to provide education and support
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure continuity of treatment
• Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry and cleaning
• Other duties as assigned
