MercyOne Clinton Medical Center is a Catholic, not-for-profit, full-service community health system serving counties in eastern Iowa and western Illinois. With approximately 50,000 patient admissions every year, MercyOne Clinton operates 249 licensed beds. It offers a wide range of hospital services and specialized care such as wound care, radiation oncology, dialysis, imaging, sleep disorders, therapy services, and skilled care. The center employs over 800 staff members.

Join the MercyOne Family! We are looking to hire a CNA Float Pool.

As a CNA Float Pool at MercyOne, you will be part of the healthcare team under the supervision of a registered nurse. You will provide patient-centered care by assisting with daily activities, physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, in line with MercyOne Clinton’s mission, policies, and standards.

Responsibilities include:

• Assist in physical management of patients: feeding, hygiene, bed making, ambulation.
• Provide physical, emotional, and spiritual care respecting age-specific and cultural needs.
• Record and report vital signs, intake/output, weight, and behavioral changes.
• Collect specimens and perform diagnostic procedures as directed.
• Ensure patient safety through appropriate care and prevention.
• Respect individual rights and demonstrate caring practices.

Schedule

• 7:00 am – 7:30 pm; every third weekend; holiday rotation

General Requirements

• Certified Nurse Aide, verification of certification from the State of Iowa.
• Must be BLS certified within 3 months of hire.
• Minimum of three years’ experience preferred.
• Ability to work on multiple tasks in a potentially stressful environment.
• Ability to organize work priorities and adapt as needed.
• Comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
• Possess honesty, integrity, and caring, with the ability to motivate others.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
