Job summary

Allina Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the Unity Nursing Float Pool at Mercy Hospital-Unity Campus in Fridley, MN. The role supports multiple nursing units through 12-hour day/night shifts and a 0.9 FTE schedule (72 hours per two-week pay period).

You will assist with patient care, vital signs, documentation, and transport under RN supervision, contributing to safe, efficient care and timely patient support across units.

Qualifications

• Must meet one of the following requirements:
• Successful completion of Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program OR:
• Completion of one semester of clinical rotations within an accredited nursing program OR:
• Completion of the Allina Health Nursing Assistant Academy Program OR:
• Previous direct patient care experience

Responsibilities

• Under RN supervision, delivers patient care, such as feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, moving and transporting patients, and changing linens.
• Collects and documents vital signs and observations.
• Assists with ambulation, transfers, positioning, ROM, and positioning.
• Supports fall prevention and bed/room safety per care plan.
• Assists with admissions, transfers, discharges, and post-mortem care as needed.
• Handles specimens and transports meds within the site as allowed.
• Documents according to guidelines and reports abnormal findings to RN.
