Job summary

Mercy Retirement & Care Center in Oakland, CA is seeking a compassionate caregiver to support residents with daily living activities, mobility, and personal care. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA/NAR/HCA license in good standing required.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Must be able to read/write/speak English sufficiently.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand, and follow residents' ADL directives.
• Make daily chart notes on residents' conditions and report changes.
• Assist residents with bathing, mobility, hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
• Help serve meals and participate in activities.
• Monitor schedules and assist residents as needed.
• Assist in resident admissions and discharges.
• Record vital signs as scheduled and as needed.
• Provide verbal and physical assistance during transfers/ambulation.
• Respond promptly to assistance calls and report hazards.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized resident rooms.
