Job summary

Addus HomeCare is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant to support seniors and people with disabilities living independently in Tennessee. This entry-level role offers flexible hours, daily and weekly pay options, and opportunities to learn quality home care fundamentals while making a meaningful impact.

As an Addus CNA, you will follow care plans, assist with personal care and daily tasks, transport clients when needed, and report changes in health to the care team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or one year of in-home care experience.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• Reliable transportation, required for member transportation. Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance is required.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and follow written/verbal instructions.
• Good communication skills; reliable, energetic and well-organized.
• Comfortable using an electronic device.

Responsibilities

• Follow a care plan for the member, and report on completed tasks
• Support with personal care (bathing, dressing, etc.)
• Support with routine house cleaning, laundry, and assist with meal preparation
• Transport client to appointments, daily errands, and other locations as necessary
• Assist member with the self-administration of medications (no administering or measuring)
• Observe and report any changes in member's condition
