Responsibilities

• Maintains a homelike environment for residents while protecting and promoting Resident Rights and helping residents maintain independence.
• Provides direct care to residents to improve or maintain their abilities.
• Follows all facility policies and infection control procedures.
• Records accurate, legible information about resident care in the appropriate sections of records.
• Communicates with the Unit Charge Nurse about assigned residents regularly during shifts.
• Monitors the environment for safety or fire hazards and reports or corrects potential problems.
