Job summary

Delaware Technical Community College seeks an Educational Training Specialist--Certified Nursing Assistant at Owens Campus-Georgetown, DE. The role includes teaching day or evening CNA classes and developing curricula to support workforce training initiatives.

The incumbent will provide tutoring and advisement, maintain student records, and collaborate with the Workforce Development team to meet program goals and accreditation standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Four (4) years of relevant experience including experience working in a long term care facility.
• Must possess a current Delaware RN license.

Responsibilities

• Conducts and teaches workshops, seminars, and courses as assigned, using effective teaching methods.
• Develops new programs, workshops/seminars and syllabi; evaluates and revises programs.
• Selects, maintains, and uses materials and equipment for teaching and training.
• Maintains participant records, including intake tests and counseling notes; reports progress.
• Provides advisement and tutoring to participants to assist in successful completion.
• Schedules and posts office hours to aid participant progress.
• Collaborates with faculty and staff to support operations and accreditation.
