Job summary

Apploi in Florida is seeking a CNA Driver/Transportation Aide who safely transports residents to appointments and provides direct patient care as a CNA. You will assist with ADLs, help with mobility, and ensure dignity and safety during transport.

Responsibilities include securing residents in vehicles, reporting changes to nursing staff, maintaining vehicle cleanliness, and completing transportation logs in accordance with facility policies.

Qualifications

• Active Florida CNA license required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred.
• Previous medical or patient transport experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and reliable transportation for residents to appointments, hospitals, and other approved destinations.
• Assist residents with entering and exiting vehicles, including wheelchair and stretcher transport when required.
• Secure residents and mobility equipment in transport vehicles according to safety protocols.
• Monitor residents during transport and report any changes in condition to nursing staff immediately.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, perform basic inspections, and report maintenance issues.
• Complete transportation logs and documentation accurately.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
• Support mobility and transfers using proper techniques and equipment.
• Answer call lights and respond promptly to resident needs.
• Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff.
• Follow infection control, safety, and facility policies at all times.
