Job summary

Green Hills Health Care Center is seeking a hospitality-minded Certified Nurse Aide (CNA)/Driver to join our growing team in Ames, IA. CNAs provide resident care under RN/LPN supervision and perform charting to maintain continuity of care.

We are hiring for full-time and part-time CNA positions on all shifts. This role emphasizes caring for residents with a hospitality-focused approach and offers growth opportunities in geriatric care.

Qualifications

• CNA licensure or current certification in good standing as required.
• Valid Direct Care Worker Registry registration.
• Valid Class D chauffeur's license with a clean driving record.
• Willingness to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with health-care privacy standards.
• Experience in health care and geriatric care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Document nursing care accurately after assisting a resident, per standards.
• Report changes in resident condition promptly to RN/LPN on duty.
• Record Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as per care plans.
• Assist residents with nutrition and hydration, aiding dining as needed.
• Keep resident rooms clean and organized.
• Support Person-Directed Care philosophy in daily tasks.
• Monitor wheelchair calendar and inform charge nurse of scheduling conflicts.
