Job summary

OPCO Skilled Management seeks a compassionate Nurse Aide to provide basic nursing care to residents under the direction of a licensed nurse supervisor. Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, grooming, hygiene, and positioning, as well as ensuring comfort and safety.

The ideal candidate has completed a State Approved Nurse Aide Training and is listed on the State Registry in good standing; reading and writing skills and clear communication with residents and staff are essential.

Qualifications

• State Approved Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program completed; name must appear on State Registry as Nurse Aide in good standing.
• Ability to communicate with residents and nursing staff; read and write.

Responsibilities

• Participates in and receives nursing report upon reporting for duty.
• Assists residents with resident care including bathing, grooming, hygiene and placement of adaptive equipment.
• Explains procedures to residents before administering.
• Keeps residents dry (changes gown, clothing, linen, etc., when it becomes wet or soiled).
• Changes bed linens and keeps linens tight to avoid wrinkles from forming under residents.
• Makes beds (occupied and unoccupied).
