Job summary

The State of Arkansas Department of Human Services seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care under licensed staff in state facilities. You will work closely with nursing teams to support daily patient needs and maintain a safe care environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of patient hygiene, mobility assistance, and nutrition support.
• Ability to measure and record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration) and report abnormalities.
• Arkansas CNA certification with active status; continuing education as mandated by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and oral care.
• Support mobility through transfers and use of assistive devices.
• Monitor vital signs and report abnormalities.
• Maintain cleanliness and medical equipment, and document in charts.
• Follow infection control protocols to prevent infection and ensure a safe environment.
