Job summary

Universal Health Services, Southeast Behavioral Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant to join the treatment team, delivering continuous patient care and supervision under a Registered Nurse. Day shift 6:30 AM–7 PM with rotating weekends. Education required: High School diploma or equivalent; valid CNA license.

Two years of related experience and CPR certification are preferred. Must have a valid driver's license and be prepared for weekend/overtime and flexible

Qualifications

• Two years of related experience in psychiatric patient care preferred.
• Valid state CNA license and CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous patient care, supervision and interaction as part of the treatment team.
• Role-model behaviors under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Support patients from adolescence through geriatrics as needed.
• Assist with daily activities and maintain a safe, therapeutic environment.

Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY

The Certified Nursing Assistant functions as an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction and role modeling to patients ranging in ages from adolescents through geriatrics. All CNA's work under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: A High School Diploma or equivalent is required, along with a valid CNA License.

Experience: Two (2) years of related experience, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness, preferred.

Licensure: Valid state driver’s license and active CNA license required.

Additional Requirements: Successful completion Management Aggressive Behavior Training, Handle with Care, Service Excellence Training and CPR certification required. CNA’s may be required to work weekends, overtime and have flexible hours.
