Job summary

American Senior Communities in Evansville is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join Columbia Healthcare Center. This full-time day-shift role offers 12-hour shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM, every other weekend, with no on-call required.

As a CNA, you will assist residents with daily living activities, help with mobility, observe health changes, and provide compassionate companionship while collaborating with nursing staff to ensure safe, respectful care.

Qualifications

• Valid and current CNA certification in Indiana.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and resident mobility.
• Strong passion for geriatric nursing and senior care.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including personal care and mobility.
• Help with lifting, positioning and transferring residents as needed.
• Observe residents and communicate changes or concerns to the nursing team.
• Provide companionship and reassurance to residents.
• Work with nursing and other facility teams to provide coordinated care.
• Help maintain a safe, respectful and comfortable environment for residents.
