Job summary

Eastern Health Group in Roanoke, VA is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide direct resident care under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel. You will assist with grooming, mobility, feeding, and daily activities while maintaining a compassionate, safe environment.

This position involves documenting vitals, supporting the plan of care, and contributing to a positive, patient-centered atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Current Nursing Assistant certification from state OR
• CPR certification preferred
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills
• Demonstrated intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care (grooming, bathing, dressing, oral care) of residents daily and as needed
• Ambulate and transfer residents using appropriate assistive devices
• Record resident vital signs, weights, intake/output, and food consumption
• Observe residents and report changes in condition to Charge Nurse
• Assist with meals and transport to dining areas as needed
• Maintain housekeeping standards within assigned areas
• Assist with aseptic techniques to prevent infection
• Take vital signs and measurements as directed
• Participate in data collection for MDS and care plans
