Job summary

Palmetto Subacute Care Center is seeking a CNA to provide direct resident care in a compassionate, state-of-the-art setting. The role requires patient-facing tasks, documentation, and collaboration with nursing staff to ensure high-quality care.

The position offers PRN weekend shifts and a pay model that includes daily pay. Florida CNA certification is required or in progress, with background screening as part of the process.

Qualifications

• CNA certification or in Florida awaiting examination.
• Experience in long-term or geriatric care preferred.
• Ability to document patient progress in a timely manner.
• Collaborates with all disciplines for patient-centered care.
• Demonstrates exceptional patient service and clinical excellence.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care such as bathing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
• Care for bedside equipment and resident environment; manage beds and tables.
• Follow safety rules at all times to prevent accidents.
• Assist the nurse with continuous observation and resident support.
• Conduct resident care rounds every 1–2 hours to check on needs.
• Prepare residents for meals and assist with feeding as needed.
• Complete all required documentation before shift end.
• Establish rapport with residents, families and staff.
