Mesquite Village is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide basic nursing care to residents under supervision. Duties include assisting with bathing, grooming, and daily activities, and reporting to the licensed nurse on duty.

Qualifications

• State-approved Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program completed.
• State Registry as Nurse Aide in good standing.
• Ability to communicate with residents and nursing staff.
• Ability to read and write.

Responsibilities

• Participates in nursing report at start of shift.
• Assists residents with bathing, grooming, hygiene and placement of adaptive equipment.
• Explains procedures to residents before administering.
• Keeps residents dry and changes gown, clothing, and linens when wet or soiled.
• Changes bed linens and keeps them tight to avoid wrinkles.
• Makes occupied and unoccupied beds.
