Job summary

Riverside Health System in Saluda, VA is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide direct resident care under supervision of Nursing leaders and to support daily operations. You will assist with hygiene, nutrition and safety, document ADLs in the EMR, and uphold facility policies for privacy and dignity.

Two years of CNA experience is required along with Virginia CNA certification and CPR/BLS certification upon hire.

Qualifications

• 2 years prior Nurse Aide work experience (Required)
• Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) Upon Hire(Required)
• CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) Upon Hire(Required)

Responsibilities

• Allows resident choices within limits of capability considering safety / dignity issues and follows policies and procedures of facility to include resident privacy and dignity.
• Assists with ensuring hygiene, appearance, safety and nutritional needs of residents are met. Provides resident care and services to maintain or improve resident functional status to highest practical ability. Documents accurately in EMR resident’s ADL care, personal hygiene, bowel and bladder habits, and behaviors.
• Follows universal precautions, proper infection control, sanitation and safety standards of practice in all work and activities.
