Job summary

Beebe Healthcare in Lewes, Delaware, is seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide direct patient care under RN supervision, including ADLs, monitoring vital signs, and logging data. You will support mobility, hygiene, feeding, and patient comfort while upholding infection control standards.

Qualifications

• Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in DE.
• BLS – Basic Life Saving Certification.
• High school diploma preferred OR current high school student with CNA license (work schedule in compliance with the State of Delaware Department of Labor Regulations)

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients in accordance with individualized care plans.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (bathing, oral care, dressing, grooming, toileting).
• Assist in transportation and transfer of patients, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and other patient data.
• Accuchecks completed as directed.
• Documentation kept accurate and prompt.
• Assist with patient hygiene and comfort, repositioning to prevent pressure ulcers.
• Support with feeding and hydration per dietary restrictions.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure continuity of care and positive outcomes.
• Complete hourly rounds and respond to call lights and patient requests.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and families.
• Maintain clean patient environment and stock supplies; prepare rooms for admissions/transfers.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and hospital policies.
