Job summary

Lifepoint Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide essential patient care under the supervision of nursing staff. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring patient comfort in a clinical setting.

The role requires completion of a nursing assistant training course, current state CNA certification, CPR/BCLS certification, and preferred experience in acute or long-term care environments.

Qualifications

• Completion of a nursing assistant training course.
• Minimum six months of experience in an acute care or long-term care setting preferred.
• Current state certification as a Nursing Assistant.
• CPR/BCLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient care tasks including bathing, grooming, and mobility assistance.
• Provide general nursing support such as positioning, lifting, turning, and using special equipment.
• Assist with toileting needs using bedpans, urinals, commodes, or ambulation to the bathroom.
• Take and record temperature, pulse, respiration, weight, height, blood pressure, and intake/output measurements accurately.
• Prepare patient rooms for admission and transfer, ensuring cleanliness and equipment readiness.
• Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment with attention to ventilation and lighting.
• Support patient admission, transfer, and discharge procedures, including handling of patient belongings.
• Answer patient call lights, phones, and pages, responding promptly and appropriately.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
