Job summary

Tenet Healthcare in Harlingen, TX is seeking a patient care tech focused on assisting licensed staff in general nursing units. You will support patient needs, monitor conditions, and help ensure smooth admissions, discharges, and transfers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA, MA, PCT, EKG tech, EMT, or Phlebotomist certification required.
• Ability to assist licensed staff with patient care.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and charting.

Responsibilities

• Assists other nursing personnel in patient care.
• Reports unusual patient conditions/reactions to licensed staff.
• Makes rounds with oncoming shift.
• Completes audits, as assigned.
• Enters charges, as needed.
• Performs venipuncture for lab specimen testing.
• Discontinues peripheral IV catheters.
