Job summary

Kindred Hospital Central Tampa is seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant to support professional nursing staff in our 102-bed long-term acute care setting. You will assist patients with activities of daily living, provide personal care, help with mobility, and contribute to a compassionate, patient-centered environment.

Under the direction of RNs, you will take vital signs, document observations, and help with admission, transfers and discharge procedures.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak fluent English.
• Good attendance and reliability.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Able to organize tasks and stay organized under stress.

Responsibilities

• Consults with and informs supervisor of unit activities and patient needs.
• Provides general nursing care including positioning, turning and hygiene.
• Takes vital signs and records output accurately and timely.
• Prepares rooms for admission and transfers; assists with care environment.
• Assists in admission, transfer and discharge procedures.
• Responds to patient call lights and paging system promptly.
• Under RN direction, performs routine treatments and assists with equipment.
• Assist with feeding and meal tray delivery as needed.
