Job summary

Minden Medical Center is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our nursing team. You will provide direct patient care and assist with daily living activities, supporting licensed nurses and ensuring a safe, respectful environment.

You will float to other departments as needed and may participate in on-call duties. Current CNA or PCT certification is required; BLS certification and hospital/nursing home experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification or PCT certification required.
• One year of hospital or nursing home experience preferred.
• AHA BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living.
• Support licensed nursing staff with routine patient care within the scope of your training and experience.
• Provide day-to-day custodial care and comfort to assigned patients.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment.
• Monitor and communicate patients' medical and emotional needs to licensed nursing staff.
• Assist patients with their daily needs and respond to requests in a timely and compassionate manner.
• Work as an essential member of the nursing team to help ensure patients receive high-quality care.
• Float to other departments when needed and participate in on-call duties as required.
