Job summary

Northwest Nursing Center is seeking a compassionate Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) to join our skilled nursing team. The CNA will provide direct patient care, assist residents with daily living activities, and help promote comfort, dignity, and quality of life for elderly and medically complex residents.

The role involves assisting with ADLs, vital signs, mobility, transfers, and nourishment while maintaining a clean, safe, and respectful environment.

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in the state is required.
• Prior experience in skilled nursing facility, long‑term care, or rehabilitation setting preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds; assist with transfers and repositioning.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
• Take and record vital signs (BP, temperature, pulse, respiration).
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and repositioning to prevent pressure injuries.
• Maintain documentation of care provided and report changes to licensed nurse.
• Support meals, hydration, and nutritional needs; provide emotional support and maintain a compassionate environment.
• Follow infection control policies and safety procedures; keep rooms and common areas clean and organized.
