Job summary

Piedmont Health Services, Inc. in Burlington, NC is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to support seniors at the Adult Day Center under the PACE program. This role involves assisting with daily activities, transports, and basic care needs as part of an integrated care team.

Work location is 1214 Vaughn Road, Burlington, with a Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm schedule. Competitive pay and benefits are provided in a supportive clinical environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of Nurse’s Aide or Home Health Aide training.
• One year of experience with the frail or elderly preferred.
• Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
• Must meet CMS position competencies before working independently.
• Certified Nursing Assistant I or certified within 90 days of employment.
• Upon employment, must become trained in CPR and First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Assists with showering and dressing of participants per assignment.
• Assists with toileting of participants within day center.
• Assists with feeding of participants within day center.
• Assists with ambulating participants within the day center.
• Assists with pressure relief by repositioning every 2-3 hours.
• Documentation of intake and output.
• Provides perineal and catheter care when indicated.
• Safe transfer techniques and ambulation assistance.
• Follows infection control policies.
• May assist with ambulatory and rehabilitative therapies as directed by licensed therapist.
• May assist with participant appointments to assist with ambulation and/or toileting needs.
• May assist with kitchen/dining services as directed by Registered Dietitian.
• All other duties as assigned.
