Job summary

Shaker Place Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in New York state seeks a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support residents with daily living activities, mobility, and hygiene. You will work under supervision of licensed staff to provide dependable care with dignity.

Responsibilities include assisting residents with walking, feeding and bathing, helping nurses with transfers, using mobility aids, and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Nursing Assistant (NYSDOH) required at appointment.
• Ability to follow routine written and oral directions.
• Physical ability to assist residents with mobility and daily activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with walking, feeding and bathing.
• Support nurses with lifting, turning, and transporting residents.
• Assist with use of walkers and other equipment in prescribed therapy.
• Regulate visitors as directed and relay information to visitors.
• Record resident information and maintain records.
• Clean and sterilize hospital equipment.
• Label and secure residents' clothing and valuables.
• Move furniture or supplies to maintain resident safety.
• May perform clerical tasks.
• Accompany residents in transportation in ambulance or clinic car.
